I'd like to tell you a little bit about the canvases and threads we offer. Our canvases are painted on 14 and 12 mesh, White Mono Deluxe Sweigart canvas. We have notated which one, along with the design measurement, next to each design.It may be possible to change the mesh the design is painted on by special request. Just contact Joan and she will tell you if the design will adapt and if there is a variation in price.We have worked a sample needlepoint of the majority of the designs we offer on this site. This ensures that we keep a record of how much thread we use for each canvas.
We give our customers the option of buying just the painted canvas or choosing the thread kit as well. There is always more available if you need it. Just email or call us and we will ship you what you need to finish your project.
We usually use DMC Embroidery Floss on 14 mesh and DMC Pearl Cotton 3, or Paternayan Persian Yarn or a combination of both on the 12 mesh. I like working with these threads as they have very large color palettes, and this is important to me as an artist. The finished samples work up beautifully in these threads as well.It is possible for us to vary the thread colors by special request so you may coordinate colors to your own color scheme. But you would have to notify us of your preferences, or send color samples to see if it is possible with any particular design.It is also possible to adapt a design to another size to accomodate a footstool, chairseat, bench or even a rug. This is a special order that requires more time.In stock canvases ship immediately. But, since every canvas is hand-painted, we cannot stock every one at all times. If we have to paint it, lead time is from 2-6 weeks, and customized work will probably take longer.
